Shiitake Tea

This is a traditional folk remedy to relax and soothe.

Ingredients

  • 1 Mitoku Dried Shiitake (soak one mushroom in water for an hour)
  • 2 cups soaking water or fresh water
  • Pinch of sea salt

Preparation method

  1. Drain the soaked shiitake and cut it into quarters.
  2. Bring it to a simmer with 2 cups of soaking water or fresh water and a pinch of sea salt.
  3. Simmer for 10-20 minutes, or until the liquid has reduced by half.
  4. Drink just one half cup at a time.
